What Information we collect and how we use it

In order to use our website, we require the following personal information;

  • Contact Details: First name, last name, phone number and email address
  • Date of birth
  • Your occupation and gross annual income
  • Your Address

This information is required to make an introduction to our partner insurance broker so that they can then contact you to produce an insurance quotation.

Why are we allowed to use this information?

We use you information for the following lawful reasons:

  • For our legitimate business interest: to carry out our business of insurance introductions, including that we keep a record of our activities both for our client’s benefit and for our own legal and regulatory reasons.
  • To comply with a legal obligation: for example, the rules set out by our regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to fulfil your data rights under data privacy laws, handle complaints about data privacy or our service and to comply with other legal requirements.

When do we collect this information?

  • When you complete the Get a Quote form on our website; and
  • If you contact us to request information or make a complaint.

Who do we share this information with?

We share your personal information with the following third parties:-

  • Our partner insurance broker and their employees.
  • A third party where disclosure is required to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement for example the ICO or FCA.

How long do we keep this information?

The information provided is stored for 7 days from submission of the “Get a Quote Form” After this the data is deleted unless we are required to retain the data for a longer period due to business legal or regulatory requirements for example if you make a complaint.

Your rights

  • The right to be informed about how we use your personal data (This Privacy Notice);
  • The right to see a copy of the personal information we hold about you. (In most cases, this will be free of charge);
  • The right to have personal information rectified if inaccurate or incomplete;
  • The right of erasure of your personal information where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing;
  • The right to restrict processing in certain circumstances, e.g., if its accuracy is being contested;
  • The right to data portability, which, subject to certain conditions, allows you to obtain and reuse your personal data across different services;
  • The right to object to certain processing for example statistical purposes;
  • Rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling;
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe there has been a breach in the handling of your personal data. You can find the ICO’s contact details on their website: www.ico.org.uk.

We will comply with all of the above rights in a timely manner, no later than one month after the request has been received. For more complex requests more time may be requested to fully address the issue. There is no charge for any request, unless it is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
